Radio Flyer 2-in-1 Journey Wagon - Holiday Toy List!

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The Radio Flyer 2-in-1 Journey Wagon is one of my top picks for this year's Holiday Toy List. It's versatile, easy to store and transport - and the kids love the different seating options.

Having a 2-in-1 Journey wagon comes in handy whether you have one, two or three children in tow.  The versatility allows the bigger kids to pile in when the seats are folded down or we can bring the seats up and safely buckle the two-year-old. It give him a place to comfortably sit and feel like a big boy with his own seat and cup holder. I like that this model also has cup holders on the front of the wagon for my water bottle, smoothie or coffee.

When I was a youngster, I had a Radio Flyer Wagon as well. I loved my wagon! It served as a vehicle (I would make my brother and sister push it from behind while I steered it with the handle), I used it as a "pioneer wagon" where I made bricks (which were actually just globs of mud), and it was a tent once I stacked outdoor furniture and plastic swimming pools over it. My fondest memories were of my mother pulling my siblings and I in it as we walked (she walked and tugged and pulled) to Grandma's house.

My children have enjoyed playing with Radio Flyer 2-in-1 Journey Wagon, riding it in, pulling their younger cousins around the yard and using it for trips to the library. Imagine it loaded with books! I think Savannah feels very much like Matilda walking down the sidewalk with a wagon full of books behind her.

It's also great for toting items (and kiddos) around during trips to the playground, park, amusement parks, festivals, fairs, etc...

The The Radio Flyer 2-in-1 Journey Wagon features:

  • 2 wagons in 1-seats fold up or down for a comfortable ride or maximum hauling capacity
  • Seatbelts for added safety,8.5" quiet ride tires
  • 4 cup holders for easy access to drinks and snacks
  • Extra-long handle folds over for easy storage
  • Extra under seat storage

Trendy Stroller/Crossover Bag - The Fiona by Baby Cargo

Sunday, July 27, 2014

When I first became a mom, strollers and accessories weren't nearly as amazing as they've become over the last few years. The worst part of using a stroller then - was finding a neat and tidy way of bringing along items usually reserved for the diaper bag.

I searched the stores for convenient totes or bags that might attach to or hang nicely from the handle bars - but eventually settle for any that weren't too big, bulky or could fit in the stroller's basket without needing forced or smashed. This Summer, I've found the Fiona Mini Stroller Bag from Baby Cargo.

Baby Cargo is a new line of modern baby gear inspired by iconic architecture, chic fashion and fresh interior design. We offer conscientious parents the most user friendly, premium line of strollers, stroller accessories, play spaces and space saver high chairs to live comfortably and safely and stylishly in the modern home--all at an affordable price.

What I've liked the most about this bag is its slim form.  It attaches nicely to the handles of any stroller and stays out of the way as I push the stroller along.  One side has two elastic pockets that can hold two bottles, sippy cups or water bottles.  That side also has a flap pocket as well as a zip pocket where I could store my keys and phone.  The reverse side has a mesh pocket where we kept granola bars, snacks and other items.  The mesh pocket is also great for holding diapers and it comes with a matching changing pad.

Another fun use for the Fiona bag - is as a crossover bag! Zip the Fiona closed and use it as your very own bag. It's slim, sleek and trendy! I've enjoyed using it as a crossover bag on casual walks, trips to the fair, festivals and parks. The Fiona is available in four colors. I loved the Cool Aqua and Moonless Night. It also comes in Slate and Deep Ash. Which color is your favorite?

Check out more items from Baby Cargo - we thought the Georgi Bag looked pretty awesome as well!

Baby Trend EuroRide Stroller Review

Monday, June 3, 2013

Being able to get outside and take a walk with my children is a very important element of my life.  As soon as the Spring winds begin to chase away the Winter chill, we are outside!  If our day hasn't included a walk to the library or Grandma's - we will add an evening stroll before heading to bed.

Though the kids are at an age where neither one of them need a stroller, I always have a couple on hand for other little ones that may be visiting.  However, the EuroRide stroller that I received for review was able to hold each of my children as it can accommodate up to 50 pounds.

Since becoming a mommy, there have been several new designs in strollers.  Due to wheel design, some strollers can be difficult to maneuver down a sidewalk, up and down curbs or just while trying to keep up with other children.

This EuroRide stroller easily glided and adjusted to turns, lifts, pushes and pulls.  I didn't need to fight it to take a new direction or make it down the sidewalk.  I think my adorable little passenger enjoyed it as well!  Not sure that he liked Aunt Tiffany's previous older stroller with the jerky motions.

When I was pregnant with our first child, my mother-in-law insisted on purchasing a stroller with an attachable car seat.  I had no idea how much easier that would make things!  So glad she did that.  This EuroRide stroller is compatible with the below Baby Trend car seat.  It is a lightweight travel system that makes it easy to pack up and take with you.  When going to the park or fair, it is so easy to grab the car seat out of the back seat and effortlessly attach it to the stroller.  Baby remains buckled and content the entire time!

Features: Rotating Canopy, Ergonomic Handle, Locking Wheels, Canopy, Peekaboo Window, Compact Fold, Safety Harness, Storage Basket Beneath Seat, Reclining Seat

Safety and Security Features: LATCH Equipped Car Seat, 5-Point Harness, Foot-Activated Dual-Rear Parking Brake, Flame Retardant

Care and Cleaning: Wipe Clean With a Damp Cloth

The BubbleBum Car Seat!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

We spend a lot of time in our vehicles. There are many errands to run and practices or lessons to attend. This means that our 5 year old spends a lot of time in his car booster seat. His big sister has recently graduated out of needing to sit in one. I thought that would cause a bit of jealousy and anxiousness on his part.

Luckily, we were given a BubbleBum Car Seat around the time his sister stopped needing her booster seat. This new and fascinating item has helped to distract him from the fact that he must still use a car seat.

The BubbleBum seat intrigued him because it is an inflatable car booster seat. Joey was amazed when I pulled the seat from its packaging and quickly filled it with air. Until we placed it in the car, he used it all over the house. It was at the dinner table with him as well as placed in various seats around the house while he sat reading a book or two.

Finally it was time to move on to the car! He was thrilled to remove his old booster seat and replace it with a BubbleBum! It is a slimmer design that most booster seats, which means if you needed to place three of them side-by-side... they would fit with ease! No more shoving and pushing and stretching while trying to get three booster seats in place. It may be great exercise, but it's tiring!

Joey said the BubbleBum is also more comfortable. His exact word was 'soft'. If he is more comfortable during a car trip - mommy is happy!

I like that the BubbleBum is easy to store! Having several nieces and nephews that may travel around with me at a moment's notice - I can keep a BubbleBum in the trunk of my car without sacrificing much space. It is quickly pulled out, inflated and installed.

Look for a BubbleBum here!
