100 No-Equipment Workouts

Saturday, February 7, 2015

I'm not one who enjoys paying for a gym membership, driving to a gym, waiting for gym equipment, cleaning up at the gym and then heading home. I most enjoy workouts that can be done sans the hassle of a gym. Which is why I buy a lot of my own equipment! There are also times when I'd just prefer not to use equipment or don't have it available to me.

The 100 Workouts Book is for everyone who wants to stay active, get fit, build muscle tone and/or shed extra weight in the home environment without acquiring any extra equipment. Different workouts, some are more challenging and some are easier than others, will ensure that your muscles don't get used to the same regime, giving you more in return, and also help you stay active and not get bored with the same routine. Visual routines are designed to guide you through the workout, as you go from one exercise to the next, in an easier fashion than in a video. Just follow the routine and have fun! You don't have to work through the entire book; you can pick the workouts you like most or randomly select one and make it a workout of the day. Ideally you want to do 3-4 workouts per week.

What we love

  • It's easy to follow.
  • It's travel friendly!
  • Wide variety of workouts.

What others are saying

"This book, along with her website, offers great work outs with a wide variety of exercises. Easy to pick up and with different levels, each work out feels like a person work out design by a professional fitness coach."

Miracle Marathon: Beaumont Children's Hospital

Thursday, July 24, 2014

I’m thrilled to share that I’m serving as a blogger for this Fall’s Miracle Marathon, specifically in support of Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak, MI! Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raise funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America. When a donation is given it stays in the community, helping local kids. So great, right?

The Miracle Marathon is a 27-day virtual fundraising campaign in which participants run/walk (or achieve forward motion of any kind!) one mile per day at their leisure. The first 26 days are completed at your own pace—wherever and whenever you want. On Day 27, the final 1.2 miles will be started as a group at 2:27 pm EST. Get it? It’s a marathon, plus a mile, for the kids! And it’s perfect for those of us who like the idea of completing a marathon but would rather not complete all the miles at once!

Please join me and register to support Beaumont Children’s Hospital or another Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, and tell your friends too! And if you register as a Miracle Maker (you’ll receive fun swag!), you can use my special code BEAUMONT10OFF to get a 10% discount off registration.

Miracle Marathon 2014

Saturday, July 12, 2014

I love running (and walking) to stay fit and stay moving. It's fun to do it knowing that I'm doing something great for my body - it's also great when I can do it to be a part of something great for others. Along with Children's Miracle Network, I am on a mission to get out, get moving and save kids' lives, and I need your help!

I have joined the Miracle Marathon journey, and throughout part of September and October I will not only be moving (running!) for 27.2 miles, but also raising funds for my Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

Please click here or at the bottom of this message and make a gift today. All donations are tax-deductible and collected securely by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Since a traditional marathon is 26.2 miles, Miracle Marathon adds a special touch by adding one more mile "for the kids." Over the course of 27 days, we are going to complete one mile per day by walking, running, dancing, skipping or just moving to reach that goal. It's a marathon - plus an extra mile - for the kids!

I sincerely hope you will donate to my Miracle Marathon journey.

Sweat Unlimited - Sara Haley

Monday, April 22, 2013

Though there are a few exercise routines that I stick with - I enjoy trying new routines! I've come to the point where I can no longer hop onto the elliptical without my phone - I need music or video to keep me going. Switching routines keeps it from becoming boring! It keeps it interesting.

I've recently added Sara Haley's Sweat Unlimited to my routine. It was difficult for me to get motivated enough to put it in the DVD player - but I was glad that I did! The movements weren't overly difficult to master and they provided the workout that I'm currently needing.

I'm also able to switch up the various routines for the type of workout I am needing that day or the amount of time that I have available to exercise.  Hopefully this type of flexibility and training will come in handy after a Winter of not exercising as much as I should have!  So far, I can feel it working.  Achy muscles are a good sign when you start working them again - right?  Right!  So I will keep it up and look forward to future results!

Get your sweat on with Sara Haley’s Sweat Unlimited workout series! Sara designed this program, with 5 different workouts of increasing length (from 5 to 45 minutes), so that you always have a workout to fit into your busy schedule. Plus, all workouts are equipment free, so you can do them any time or any place. Sara's challenging exercises, safe modification options, and motivational coaching give you the tools that you need to transform your fitness goals into reality!

Sara Haley is a national certified trainer and instructor with over twenty years of dance and fitness training. She is a Reebok Global Master Trainer, willPower Method Teacher Trainer, and a Pre & Post Natal Exercise Specialist.
